On November 13, 2017, the international academic journal "Nature Medicine" published the research results of "Enhancing the genetic lineage tracing using dual recombinases" by Zhou Bin Research Group of the Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

As a new lineage tracing technique, DeaLT contains two strategies, DeaLT-IR and DeaLT-NR; it can effectively circumvent the non-specificity of Cre expression in the traditional Cre-loxP homologous recombination system. Heterogeneous homologous recombination enables more precise genetic lineage tracing.
